Veysel Şimşek

Veysel Şimşek served as a postdoctoral research fellow and interim co-director of the IOWC in 2015–16, and subsequently held a Chauncey Postdoctoral Fellowship in Grand Strategy with Yale’s International Security Studies in 2016–18. He is currently a course lecturer in Turkish at the Institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University. (Read more)

Anna Winterbottom

Anna Winterbottom works on the early modern Indian Ocean region and the European colonial presence there. She is particular interested in the history of medicine, science, and environment. Anna was a postdoctoral fellow at the IOWC from 2012-2014. (Read more)
