Margaret Kalacska

Margaret Kalacska is an Associate Professor in Geography at McGill University with a specialization in remote sensing from the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department at the University of Alberta in 2006. Prior to joining the Geography Department at McGill she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University, and a Research Fellow for Tropi-Dry and the Canadian International Council.   Her research focuses on the application of remote sensing (satellite and airborne imagery) to environmental and forensic questions. She is particularly interested in historical land use change as documented by early Earth Observation data as well as airborne hyperspectral imagery and high-resolution 3D surface reconstructions from UAV platforms.
