Tyler Yank

Tyler Yank holds a PhD in History (2019) from the Department of History & Classical Studies and the Indian Ocean World Centre, McGill University. Her dissertation, supervised by Gwyn Campbell, highlights narratives of enslaved women in British Mauritius through an exploration of various imperial ‘projects’, including the Commission of Eastern Enquiry, slavery amelioration, and the presence of the London Missionary Society. Tyler received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Mass Communication from Carleton University (2008), and her Master of Arts in History from McGill University (2013).
