An International, Interdisciplinary Collaboration for a New Global Approach to the Humanities

The Japan-Australia-Austria-Canada (JAAC) International and Interdisciplinary Collaboration for a New Global Approach to the Humanities is centered around four networks of academic excellence: the Japan-based Eurasian Project, led by Professor Masashi Haneda (University of Tokyo); the Asia Research Centre in Australia, led by Professor James Warren (Murdoch University); the Crossroads Research Centre in Austria, led by Professor Angela Schottenhammer (University of Salzburg); and the Indian Ocean World Centre in Canada, led by Professor Gwyn Campbell (McGill University).

The core aims of this collaboration are to overcome Eurocentricism, develop international collaboration, and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration between the humanities and sciences.
